Eric Roux enters his fourth season in 2023-24 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the women's basketball and men's golf programs at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Eric was the 2023 recipient of the Tennessee Athletic Trainers' Society Eugene Smith/Mickey O'Brien College Athletic Trainer of the Year Award.

No stranger to the Southern Conference, Eric was previously the men's basketball and men’s golf athletic trainer at Samford University. Eric has a variety of other certifications including RockTape, IASTM, American Red Cross CPR Instructor and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Eric serves UTC student-athletes as their staff representative for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Making his way all over the East coast, Eric has worked with Francis Marion University, the Florence Flamingos (formerly RedWolves), South Georgia Tormenta FC, Georgia Southern University, and the University of Connecticut. Eric graduated from High Point University with a dual BS in Athletic Training and Exercise Science and went on to complete his Master's at UConn with an MS in Kinesiology.   

A proud member at nearby Creeks Bend Golf Club, the Vernon, N.J., native enjoys playing golf in his free time in addition to staying active, playing sports, and keeping up with all the local Chattanooga Teams.
