Former Moc Ashley Simmons, a 2016 Exercise Science graduate of UTC joined the Mocs soccer staff in the 2017 season as a student assistant.

Simmons made 57 starts in her career and played in 61 games as a defender. She scored a goal in her freshman year in the Mocs win against South Carolina State. In her junior year, she assisted on the Mocs game-winning goal against The Citadel.

She was named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll, the UTC Dean's List and the Athletics Director's Honor Roll.
