Carlie Banks joined the Mocs coaching staff as a volunteer assistant in August 2018.
Banks, a native of Peachtree City, Ga., has made Chattanooga her home for the last three years. She joined the Chattanooga FC Women for the first time in 2016 and was named a WPSL All-Star for her stellar play. As the team’s leading goal scorer in 2018, the CFC was the Southeastern Conference champions and South Region semifinalist.
She played professionally in Finland and was the leading goal scorer for IK Mryan and ranked second in the league. Banks also played for the Houston Aces who were the USASA National Women’s champions, Big Sky Blue champions, claimed the Midwest Conference title and two-time WPSL finalists.
Banks played collegiately for LSU, graduating in 2013 with a degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in fitness studies and a minor in Sociology.
On the pitch, she was named to the ESPN Academic All-District VI Team, earned a spot on the SEC All-Freshman Team, was named a College Soccer 360 Primetime Performer and LSWA All-Louisiana.
She is in her third year coaching with the Chattanooga FC Academy, serving as the head coach for the CFC Academy 05/06 Elite Girls, assistant coach of the 05 & 06 Premier Girls, assistant 9v9 director and as an instructor for the Training Academy. Banks is also a 9Round Kickboxing instructor.
