Nick Brascetta is in his second season with the Mocs and his first as an assistant coach. He spent the 2016-17 season at UTC as the Coordinator of Student-Athlete Development.
Brascetta is a 2016 graduate of Virginia Tech where he was a three-time All-American for the Hokies. He finished third at the 2016 NCAA Championships at 157 pounds. He was also a three-time ACC Champion during his career at Virginia Tech.
A native of Graham, Ohio, Brascetta was the ACC Rookie of the Year in 2012 after winning the league title at 149 pounds. He repeated his ACC crown and placed eighth at the NCAAs in 2013, before redshirting in 2014. He won another ACC title at 157 in 2015 and went on to finish fourth at the NCAAs.
He earned his degree in Accounting at Virginia Tech and is currently working on his M.B.A. at UTC.
