Prior to Chattanooga
- He attended Emmanuel Christian but wrestled at Saint Paris Graham under Coach Jason Knott...Ohio State Champion as a senior and runner-up as a junior.
- 98-36 as a varsity wrestler...15-0 in state dual action as a senior.
- 3-time sectional champ...runner-up in district as a sophomore and senior sandwiching winning the title as a junior.
- Also competed in soccer for three seasons.
- Honor Roll student...Academic All-Ohio.

Personal
- Son of Dustin and Mindy Hughes...he's a quadruplet with siblings Reed, Jenna & Winston.
- Dad ran track as a freshman at Cedarville.
- Majorin in Business.
