Ashli Adams Brown is beginning another season as head coach of the Mocs Spirit Squad. She is a Chattanooga native and a graduate of UTC, earning a B.S. in Sports Administration and a minor in Coaching. She was a cheerleader and appointed to serve on the Chancellor’s Student Advisory Council during her time as an undergraduate.
Prior to returning to her alma mater, Brown taught and coached cheerleading at Loftis Middle School where her teams won a National Championship and two Grand National Championships.
Since returning to the Mocs, Brown has focused on making the Cheerleaders and Sugar Mocs a stronger presence for every UTC game day experience. In 2018, the cheer team placed second at the UCA College Nationals and in 2019 the cheer and dance teams earned a top 10 placement in combined game day at the UCA/UDA nationals.
Ashli and her husband Charlie reside in Chattanooga. Her daughter Reese attends UTC where she is an active member of Kappa Delta Sorority.
