Top 10 Plays of 2015-16: No. 3

No. 3 – Jones Follow Jam Jump Starts Season to Remember.

GoMocs.com's summer series, Top 10 Plays of 2015-16, continues this week with No. 3. Check out No. 10, No. 9, No. 8, No. 7, No. 6, No. 5 and No. 4 here.

As we learned last week in No. 4 of our Top 10 Moments, the Georgia win to open the season was key to a school-record 29 triumphs. As Tre' McLean, stated, the win was "what started it all…we knew we were working with something" right then and there.

So our crack staff got together and poured through the analytics and supporting data to detect what was the play of the game? The meetings and memos are pushed aside and, a decision has been reached.

There were so many great plays, especially by Casey Jones. After being held to two points in the opening frame, he exploded for 21 points after intermission keying the Mocs effort to get it to OT before capturing the win.

Exploded…talk about the proper use of a term. This slam off a missed 3pt by Johnathan Burroughs-Cook was an absolute explosion.

Time to go back to McLean thoughts while checking out our No. 3 play of 2015-16.

It's just another example of the overall team effort over the course of a record-setting season.
