TEAM
- Chattanooga improves to 1-2 on the year with a 94-46 romp over Hiwassee…the Tigers are now 6-3.
- 41st home opener of the DI era…36-5 (.878) over that stretch…won last six with the last three coming against Hiwassee.
- 22nd win of 48 or more points in school history…largest margin of victory since last year's home opener against Hiwassee (102-54) also on Nov. 16.
- 99-1 in the DI era against non-DI competition…only loss came in December 1998 against Southern Poly from Marietta, Ga.
- 3.1 assist-to-turnover ratio tonight with 22 assists against just seven turnovers…fewest turnovers since seven in the win at VMI last season.
- 19-2 advantage in points off turnovers.
- 56.4 percent from the field making 31 of 55 shots…started 3-15 (20.0%) shooting 70 percent (28-40) over the remainder of the game.
- 51.9 percent from 3pt range hitting 14 of 27…got off to a 1-7 (14.3%) start from beyond the arc, made 13 of 20 (65.0%) the rest of the way.
- More than 50 percent of Chattanooga's first-half shots were 3pt attempts (53.6%) due a packed-in Hiwassee zone defense. That percentage ended up at 49.1 percent for the contest.
- +13 on the boards (39/26)…defensive rebound percentage of 86.5 percent affording Hiwassee just two second-chance points.
- Six players (Makinde London 20, Rodney Chatman 15, Nat Dixon 13, David Jean-Baptiste 9, Duane Moss 9, Jonathan Bryant II 9) scored nine or more points.
- Bench scored 33 points shooting 76.5 percent (13-17) from the floor, including 77.8 percent (7-9) from 3pt land.
