Chattanooga School Records
  • 9-0 start to 2020-21 is the best in program history eclipsing the 8-0 opening to 1973-74
  • 9-0 mark in 2020-21 is first time the Mocs swept the non-conference schedule
  • Current (heading into 2021-22) 11-game non-conference winning streak is a school record (DI era)
  • Mocs are enjoying their most efficient stretch from 3pt range in school history with three of the four best 3pt seasons coming under Paris including a school-record 290 made in 2018-19
  • Ability to play inside-out with a solid post-presence is an obvious focus with Ramon Vila (2018-19) holding the school records for FG percentage for a season and career (min. 4 FG/game) – Vila is the only Moc with two seasons better than 60 percent shooting under those limits
  • Stefan Kenic's blistering 7-7 performance in the Western Carolina 2021 home win set a new school record bettering 6-6 by Gary Robb '94 & Brandon Born '95
 
Coaching Highlights
  • All-SoCon performers: Matt Ryan (2020-2nd), Ramon Vila (2020-3rd), Malachi Smith (2021-1st) & David Jean-Baptiste (2021-2nd)
  • Prior to Paris taking the reins, the best team GPA was 2.66 over the Fall 2014 semester. That number was topped in seven of his eight semesters in Gig City including a record 3.36 (Spring 2020)
  • Badgers averaged 27 wins per year over his seven campaigns
  • Wisconsin won a school-record 36 games in 2014-15 finishing as the national runner-up a year after reaching the Final Four in 2014 with Paris influence considered key in the rise in national prominence
  • Credited with keying efforts with All-American Frank Kaminsky as well as Sam Dekker, Nigel Hayes, Bronson Koenig and Ethan Happ among others
  • Akron posted a 139-62 record averaging 23-plus wins per year during his six seasons
  • Aided the Zips first 20-win season since 1974-75 (23-10 record in 2005-06)
  • They followed with four more before his departure to Wisconsin, playing in the postseason four times
  • Akron boasted six first or second team All-MAC performers, including Romeo Travis, 2007 MAC Player of the Year and honorable mention All-American
 
Miscellaneous
  • 21st leader of the Chattanooga Mocs basketball program
  • Teams associated with Paris were 497-217 (.696) with five conference titles and 12 NCAA Tournament appearances reaching three Final Fours prior to his Scenic City arrival
  • 1st Mocs team was the youngest in the nation. And had the second fewest returning letter winners in all of DI
  • 2019-20 team took a major step forward and it showed on the scoreboard leading DI opponents by 28 or more points in six different games with three – Samford (40), Wofford (30) and Alabama State (30) – topping the 30-point plateau
  • Inducted into Kaleidoscope Magazine's Forty-Forty Club in 2007, a listing of Cleveland's top 40 African-Americans age 40 and under who have made a difference in the community

  • Team MVP and captain as a junior and senior at Wooster
  • All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors as junior and senior
  • Helped the Scots to three trips to the NCAA Division III Tournament along with a couple of NCAC Championships
