CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. ? In its final tune-up before the regular season begins the Chattanooga men's basketball team beat King College 99-75 Thursday night in McKenzie Arena in exhibition play.

The Mocs would led at the break, 47-38 and saw that cut into quick as King would pull within three, 57-54 only a few minutes into the second half.
A 10-2 Mocs' run would put an end to the Tornado's surge however, as Chattanooga would outscore King 52-37 in the final half.

“Tonight was probably your typical exhibition game,” Head Coach
John Shulman said. “We made a lot of mistakes tonight, but we played a pretty good basketball team. All of those mistakes are fixable though, we will fix them, and then we will be ready to play Tennessee next week.
The Mocs will now turn its eyes to in-state rival Tennessee for its 2008-09 regular season opener on Saturday Nov, 15. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. from Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville. The game will be televised by SportSouth.
