GREENWOOD, Ind. (March 24, 2026) --- The Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball team landed three selections, seniors
Jikari Johnson,
Billy Smith and
Brennan Watkins, on this year's 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team as the organization announced its full list on Tuesday afternoon.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The award requires a 3.50+ cumulative GPA for undergraduate and graduate students, at least sophomore status academically and athletically, and all student-athletes must compete in 90% of team's games OR start in at least 66%.
The honor marks the first for Johnson and Watkins while Smith finishes his collegiate career as a three-time CSC Academic All-District selection after earning status at Bellarmine in 2023-24 and 2024-25. The selections mark consecutive years with multiple Mocs featured following
Sean Cusano &
Garrison Keeslar's honors last season.
All Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Those selected for advancement are denoted with an asterisk
HERE and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 14, 2026.
