On the defense in the game tonight:

“Hopefully it was our defense. I have not looked at the tape but hopefully it was our defense. I know that we would like the other team to shoot a lot of 3s but they shot 21 percent from the floor. I did not think we rebounded the ball extremely well, but if they believe that we won the game on the defensive end that's great because that is where we have to win games.”

We are going to be fine offensively, we just have to guard. We were not very disciplined in our loss to Davidson and our loss to Georgia Southern. We were very disciplined and reliable in our win against Niagara.  I told them yesterday that we could easily be 2-1 and if we win those games... us being bad would have been swept under the rug... but we are who we are and we lost those games...so let's figure out why.  It was not on the offensive end... it was on the defensive end so hopefully we are making corrections and we can start guarding a little bit.”

“Everyone is a lot happier tonight in the locker room because we were responsible on defense and played hard.”

What was it about the second half, they only had six field goals and only shot 21% the second half?

“First half really does not mean anything because we still have 20 minutes left in the second half. This season we have come out flat in the second half and we focused in on the first five minutes of the second half that we were going to win and finish this game and that was our focus thro out the second half that we were going to win this game. We locked up defensively we were responsible and reliable and were trying to do every thing Coach Shulman told us to do and it worked out for us.”
