- Chattanooga improved to 7-10 on the season and 3-3 in SoCon action with a 78-74 win over Appalachian State tonight...the Mountaineers dropped to 3-3 in league play and 6-8 overall.

 

- The Mocs are now 22-22 in overtime games all-time...it is UTC's first venture into an extra period since a 71-70 loss at ETSU on Nov. 15, 2006...it was the Mocs' first OT win since a 74-64 win at The Citadel on Jan. 30, 2006.

 

- The three straight wins is a first the season for the Mocs.

 

- The Mocs were 1-5 from the field in OT, but 6-8 from the FT line to secure the win.

 

- The score was tied 10 times and there were seven lead changes in the game.

 

- With the win, Chattanooga moves into a second place tie with ASU in the SoCon North Division at 3-3. 

 

- The Mocs face North Division Leader Western Carolina on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.  The Catamounts suffered their first loss in conference play, 76-64, at Samford tonight..

Senior Stephen McDowell

            - Scored 18 points on 5-8 shooting and 4-7 from behind the 3-pt. line

- Has at least one 3-pt. FG in 38 straight games...ties for the third longest active streak in the NCAA

- 186 career 3-pt. FGs, ranking second in school history...Keddric Mays (2006-07) has the record with 209

            - He did not grab a rebound for the first time this season

           

Senior Nicchaeus Doaks

            - Only scored five points, but grabbed 11 boards and three blocks

- Five points were enough to move into fifth place on UTC's all-time scoring list with 1,158 career points past David Phillips' (1997-00) 1,157...needs 167 more to pass Lance Fulse (1985-88) for fourth place

- Ranks No. 2 in rebounds all-time at UTC with 675...career leader is Lance Fulse (1985-88) with 747

 

Senior Kevin Goffney

            - Career-high 22 points on 7-10 shooting and 8-9 from the FT line

            - Career-high five steals

            - 11 boards gave him his second double-double of the season
