Describe to me why you wore sneakers to night?

“Today is coach verses cancer day and I say it every year that if you have not been touched by cancer then you will be. My father passed away 17 years ago with cancer and so if we can one day recognize and have cancer awareness looking goofy with tennis shoes and suits then it is worth it.”

How is Keyron and what was your interaction like under the basket?

“There was no reaction. His eyes were rolled back in the back of his head and he could not hear. I think he was just knocked out and I was just fooling around with him and asked if he could still play.  The trainer did not think that was to funny but he walked off and I commend Zach and Jasper on finishing the game for us.”

Did you guys feel loose compared to the Davidson game coming out to night? Maybe a little pressure was off?

“I guess you can say that a little bit. Everyone was anticipating the Davidson game everyone made the Davidson way more then it really was. We were trying to make it just another SoCon game but everyone hyped it up and it felt good just to go out there and not have all that extra stuff with it.”

Do you remember the game Keyron?

“I remember the game. We won 100-87. That's all you need to remember. We also out rebounded them.  That's all we worry about.”

Thoughts on the game:

“It was kind of tick for tack.  They were making a lot of shots and we kind of bucked down in the second half because we had to get stops. Offensively, it was very different than the other night. The other night, shots were not falling and tonight for some reason they were falling so it was a good game.”
