Team

- Chattanooga scored a 84-75 win over UNCG tonight...the Mocs improve to 14-13 on the year and 10-6 in SoCon action...the Spartans fall to 4-21 and 3-13 in league play.

 

- The Mocs scored their final 11 points from the FT line tonight...Chattanooga was 32-49 from the FT line...season highs in both categories.

 

- Chattanooga has now won three straight and 10 of its last 13 games...the Mocs have a winning record for the first time this season.

 

- Chattanooga has a 1.5 game lead over Western Carolina (13-12, 8-7 SoCon) in the SoCon North Division race.

 

- UTC is now 15-9 against UNCG, 8-3 in the McKenzie Arena...the Mocs swept the season series with the Spartans.

 

- UTC is now 327-168 (66.1%) in Southern Conference regular-season games.

 

- The Mocs are 4-1 on the current five-games-in-10-day stretch...the Mocs boast wins at Wofford (84-77), at Samford (66-56) and at home over Elon (76-54) and UNCG (84-75) along with the loss at Furman (72-70).

 

- Chattanooga is now 6-2 at home in SoCon play.

 

- Chattanooga is off until next Saturday when it hosts Samford at 7 p.m. on SportSouth.

Senior Stephen McDowell

- 2nd leading scorer in the conference at 19.0 ppg entering tonight's game... scored 20 points on 7-13 shooting from the field, 4-10 from 3-pt range and 2-5 on FTs.

- Career-high seven assists

- 48 career double-figure scoring games.

- 12 games scoring 20 or more points this season, two with 30 or more.

- 21 games with three or more three-pointers made, 10 with five or more. 

- 217 career 3-pt. FGs, is first in school history.

- 109 three-pointers made this season is second all-time for a season at UTC... Keddric Mays (2006-07) holds the season record with 118 in 2007

- 957 career points leaves him 43 points shy of joining teammate Nicchaeus Doaks in the 1,000 point club.  He would become the 17th member since Chattanooga's move to DI in 1977-78.

 

Senior Nicchaeus Doaks

- Double-double with a team-high 21 points and 12 rebounds...shot 4-8 from the field and 13-18 from the FT line...FT attempts and makes were both career-highs.

- Topped 1,300 career points tonight and now has 1,309 in his four years at UTC...13 behind Lance Fulse (1985-88) in fourth place on the UTC scoring charts.

- Entered game as SoCon's second-leading rebounder at 9.1 rpg...grabbed 12 tonight.

- All-time leading rebounder at UTC in the DI era with 765.

- 10 double-doubles in 2008-09...including two in the last three games...also the second time in the last three games with 20+ points and 10+ boards

- 12 or more boards in seven games.

- Scored 20 or more four times this season.

- Has led the team in scoring five times.

 

Senior Kevin Goffney

- 17 points and a game-high 16 rebounds

- Career-high in rebounds...most boards by a Moc since Nicchaeus Doaks had 17 against Niagra on Dec. 20

- Shot 3-11 from the field, 1-3 from 3-pt. range and 10-12 from the FT line

- 13 double figure scoring games.

- 5 double-doubles in 2008-09.

- Rebounding leader in 5 games.

- 6 games with 10 or more rebounds.

 

Senior Khalil Hartwell

- Nine points and five boards.

- Has an even 600 career rebounds.
