Team

- Chattanooga is now 15-15 on the season and 11-8 in the SoCon losing 88-82 in the Holmes Center tonight... Appalachian State moves to 12-16 overall, 9-10 in league play.

 

- Chattanooga is now 39-27 against the Mountaineers, 11-17 in Boone... The Mocs won the earlier meeting this season in overtime, 78-74, in the McKenzie Arena.

 

- Chattanooga is alone in first place in the North Division... Western Carolina is 10-9, App State 9-10 and Samford 8-11... A win by UTC Saturday over WCU and an App win over Samford would give ASU the No. 2 seed.

 

- UTC is now 328-170 in Southern Conference regular-season games.

 

- Tonight is game three of a four-game in eight-day stretch for the Mocs.

- The Mocs bench scored 17 points tonight, 15 in the first half.

- UTC lost the battle of the boards 42-26... It is 2-12 when out-rebounded.

- Chattanooga is now 4-5 on the road in SoCon play.

 

- Chattanooga travels to Cullowhee, N.C. for the regular-season finale at Western Carolina Saturday, Feb. 28.  Game is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Senior Stephen McDowell

- 2nd leading scorer in the conference at 18.8 ppg entering tonight's game... scored 16 points on 6-14 FG, 3-6 3-pt and 1-2 FT.

- 51 career double-figure scoring games.

- Has led the Mocs in scoring 16 times this season.

- 24 games with three or more three-pointers made, 10 with five or more. 

- 227 career 3-pt. FGs, is first in school history.

- 119 three-pointers made this season is the school's season record passing Keddric Mays (2006-07) with 118 in 2007.

 - 1,004 career points makes him the 17th member of the 1,000-point club... he is one points shy of 16th-place Ashley Champion (2003-04) with 1,005 points.

 

Senior Nicchaeus Doaks

- 8 points, 5 rebounds.

- Now has 1,350 points in his career, which ranks fourth all-time at UTC in the DI era... he is 99 points behind Gerald Wilkins (1983-85) and Brandon Born (1992-95) on the UTC scoring charts.

- All-time leading rebounder at UTC in the DI era with 785.

- Team rebounding leader in 16 games... tied for team lead in rebounding with Goffney tonight.

 

Senior Kevin Goffney

- 13 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks and 4 steals.

- 15 double figure scoring games.

- Rebounding leader in 6 games.

 

Senior Khalil Hartwell

- 14 points, 3 rebounds.

- 13 double figure scoring games.

- 3rd in the UTC DI Era with 621 career rebounds.

 

Senior Keyron Sheard

- 14 points on 4-5 FG, 2-3 3-pt, 4-6.

- 0 steals tonight... 27 steals in last 12 games including 5 at Elon tying his career high.

- 9 double-figure scoring games in 2008-09, 10 in his career.

 

Sophomore Jeremy Saffore

- 6 points, all in first half, is career high against a Division I opponent..
