The Chattanooga Mocs snapped a 10-game losing streak with a 30-13 win over Glenville State at Finley Stadium Davenport Field tonight. The Mocs improved to 1-0 on the year while GSC falls to 1-1.
Tonight's attendance was 14,002 it was the 3rd largest crowd in UTC history at Finley Stadium Davenport Field... the two higher crowds were 15,072 against Georgia Southern on Sept. 23, 2000, and 22,642 against Tennessee State in the inaugural game of Finley Stadium on Oct. 18, 1997.
Pair of firsts - both redshirt freshman RB Bo Dyer and true freshman RB Chris Awuah scored TDs in the first carry of their respective careers.
Glenville State had more total yards in the game (379) than Chattanooga (332)...Chattanooga held the edge in passing yards (258-208) while GSC had more rushing yards (171-74).
Sophomore B.J. Coleman's 73-yard TD pass to junior TE Garrett Hughes was the longest by the Mocs since Tony Pastore and Jordan Hazzard hooked up for a 76-yard strike against Florida State (10/4/08).

- Previous career-high was eighth against Carson-Newman in 2007
