Team
- Chattanooga improved to 10-6 on the year and 2-1 in the SoCon with a 58-45 win over UNC Greensboro...The Spartans fall to 3-13, 2-3 in SoCon play.
- The 45 points by the Spartans are their lowest in a league game since moving to Division I in 1991...the Mocs did not allow a Spartan to score in double-figures.
- The Mocs lead the series 16-9, 9-3 in Chattanooga...the Mocs have won the last three in the series and four of the last five.
- UTC is 620-363 as a DI program (33rd season).
- Chattanooga has won five straight games, all by double digits. The last time they won five consecutive games was last season from Jan. 10-22, all SoCon games. The last time a Mocs team won five straight by double digits was a nine in a row stretch from Jan. 6-Feb. 1, 1997, the Mocs' Sweet 16 year.
- The Mocs have held five straight opponents under 40 percent shooting. Tonight the Spartans hit a season low 27.5% of their shots from the field, including 5-25 (20.0%) from 3-pt. range.
- The Mocs were outrebounded 43-37 and UNCG held a 16-4 advantage in second-chance points.
- Chattanooga started the game 0-6 from the field and scored 20 points in the opening period, its fewest points in a half this season...Mocs shot a season-low 26.9% (7-26) from the field in the first half.
- The Mocs used a 25-2 run from the end of the first half and into the second to take control of the game.
- UTC hit eight of their first nine shot from the field, 5-6 from 3-pt. range, to start the second half...they shot a season-high 61.9% (13-21) from the field in the second frame.
- This is the first game of three in six days this week. The Mocs host The Citadel on Thursday and College of Charleston on Saturday.
- The Mocs played without the services of two scholarship players (Troy Cage, Dante Harvey). Cage is possibly out for the year after surgery to repair stress fractures in his leg. Harvey is out until mid-to-late January with a wrist injury suffered at Jacksonville State (12/1). UTC has 45 man-games missed on the season through 16 games. Harvey could be back Thursday for The Citadel game.
