- Sophomore G Keegan Bell hit a 3-pt. FG as time expired to give the Mocs a 56-54 win over The Citadel...UTC improves to 11-6 on the year and 3-1 in the SoCon...The Citadel fall to 8-9, 2-3 in SoCon play.
- UTC is still tied for the lead in the SoCon North Division with Western Carolina...The Catamounts defeated UNC Greensboro 79-69 in Cullowhee, N.C. tonight to improve to 13-3 overall and 3-1 in the SoCon.
- The Mocs lead the series 52-15, 27-6 in Chattanooga...The Mocs have won the last 11 in the series.
- UTC is 621-363 as a DI program (33rd season)...The Mocs are 332-173 in SoCon games.
- Chattanooga has won six straight games for the first time under head coach John Shulman...the last time a Mocs team won six straight was during the 2001-02 season.
- The Mocs have held six straight opponents under 40 percent shooting. Tonight the Bulldogs hit just 21-62 from the field, including 5-34 from 3-pt. range.
- The Mocs hit four of their first five 3-pt. field goal attempts all in the first four minutes of the game...they missed 13 of their next 15 attempts from behind the arc before Bell's 3-pt. FG at the buzzer.
- This is the second game of three in six days this week. The Mocs host College of Charleston on Saturday...The game will be broadcast on SportSouth as part of SoCon Saturday.
-The Mocs led 35-27 at the half but The Citadel busted out of the locker room with a 7-0.
- The Bulldogs only lead of the game was 54-53 on a Cameron Wells layup with 1:01 left on the clock...Wells led The Citadel with a game-high 28 points on 10-22 shooting, including 2-7 from 3-pt. range and 6-6 from the FT line.
- The Mocs played without the services of one scholarship player (Troy Cage) as Dante Harvey returned from a wrist injury that kept him out since Dec. 1 (9 games)...Cage may return as soon as next week's road trip to UNC Greensboro (1/21), Elon (1/23) and Wofford (1/25)...UTC has 46 man-games missed on the season through 17 games.
