- The Mocs defeated SoCon North Division leader Western Chattanooga 80-67 tonight...UTC is now 12-10 on the year and 4-5 in the SoCon North Division...the Catamounts move to 16-5, 6-3 in the SoCon North.

- The Mocs have won five straight in the series with their last loss coming in the 2007 season.  UTC leads the series 48-16 with a 27-2 record in Chattanooga...the Mocs are 8-2 in the last 10 meetings.

- UTC is 622-367 as a DI program (33rd season)...The Mocs are 333-177 in SoCon games.

- Tonight's game is the fourth of five games in 10 days...Chattanooga hosts Appalachian State on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in a doubleheader with the women who host Elon starting at 5 p.m.

- Chattanooga is 4-9 when trailing at the half...WCU lead 36-29 at the break.

- The Mocs are 9-1 when scoring 70 or more points...Chattanooga is 8-3 when holding opponents under 70 points..

- Chattanooga is 7-0 when committing less than 15 turnovers...UTC had 14 turnovers tonight. 

- The Mocs are 12-2 when shooting 30 percent or better from 3-pt range...UTC shot 32.1% from beyond the arc tonight.

- After hitting just 5-14 from behind the arc in the first half, Chattanooga changed its approach to start the second period...UTC attacked the basket so much in the opening minutes of the second that Western Carolina had 10 team fouls before the second media timeout. 

- UTC's inside game opened up their looks on the outside and allowed them to hit four of their last nine from deep. 

- Tonight's slugfest featured a combined 57 fouls, three players fouling out and 71 trips to the FT line.

Senior Ty Patterson
- Had his second double-double of the season with a team-high 19 points and a game-high 10 rebounds
- Shot 6-13 from the field, 4-10 from 3-pt. range and 3-4 from the FT line
- Seventh game of the year with 4+ 3-pt. FGs
- 13-29 (44.8%) from 3-pt. range in the last three games

Sophomore Ricky Taylor
- Scored 12 points on 4-11 shooting, 1-6 from 3-pt. range and 3-4 from the FT line
- Game-high and career-high three steals
- Just 2-11 from 3-pt. range in the last two games

Junior Ridge McKeither
- 15 points - 12 in the second half - on 4-5 shooting, 7-12 from the FT line
- Scored seven-straight points in the second half to push UTC to a 48-47 lead with 12 minutes left in the game
- Added five boards
- Has 38 points in the last three games...scored just 42 points in the previous eight games
- Shot 15-21 (71.4%) from the field in the last three games

Sophomore Keegan Bell
- Scored 10 points on 3-10 shooting, 2-5 from 3-pt. range and 2-4 from the FT line
- Game-high six assists...most assists since dishing out six against Eastern Kentucky on Dec. 30

Sophomore Dante Harvey
- Season-high five points off the bench
- Career-high five boards
