- The Mocs score an 85-80 win over Appalachian State tonight...UTC is now 13-10 on the year and 5-5 in the SoCon North Division...the Mountaineers move to 12-9, 6-4 in the SoCon North.

- The Mocs lead the series 40-27 overall, 23-7 in Chattanooga.

- UTC is 623-367 as a DI program (33rd season)...The Mocs are 334-177 in SoCon games.

- Tonight's game is the fifth of five games in 10 days...Chattanooga return to the road next week at College of Charleston (Feb. 4) and The Citadel (Feb. 6).

- After dropping four straight, the Mocs have now won back-to-back games against the top two teams in the SoCon North, including an 80-67 win against Western Carolina (17-5, 7-3 SoCon) on Thursday.

- Chattanooga is 9-1 when leading at the half...Mocs led 51-41 at the break tonight.

- The Mocs are 10-1 when scoring 70 or more points.

 - Chattanooga is 11-0 when leading five minutes to play.

- The Mocs are 8-0 when committing less than 15 turnovers...UTC had 10 turnovers tonight, tying for its second fewest on the season. 

- Chattanooga is 13-2 when shooting 30 percent or better from 3-pt range...UTC shot 38.9% from beyond the arc tonight.

- UTC shot 14-36 from 3-pt. range tonight...14 threes tied the season-high...36 attempts from behind the arc is two shy of the school record set against Georgia Tech earlier in the season...it is the eighth time the Mocs have hit 10 or more this season.

- The Mocs outrebounded ASU 46-37...The Mountaineers came into the game leading the SoCon in rebounds (38.2) and rebounding margin (+6.7).

- The Mocs held a 20-2 advantage in second chance points, thanks to 16 offensive rebounds.

- UTC tried to give the game away at the FT line, shooting just 47.2% (17-36)...ASU was 17-20 (85.0%) from the FT line

- ASU outscored the Mocs 12-2 in fast break points.

- Chattanooga never trailed in the game, despite the last charge from Appalachian State.

- With 51 points in the first half, the Mocs scored 50+ in back-to-back periods...they also had 51 in the second half against Western Carolina on Thursday...UTC's last time topping 50 at the break was in the season opener with 62 against Virginia Intermont.

- The Mocs had the third largest crowd of the season at 4,331 tonight despite a near half-foot of snow in the Chattanooga area.

Junior Ridge McKeither
- Tied for team-high with 18 points on 7-11 shooting, 4-7 from the FT line
- Season-high and game-high 12 boards...third double-double of the season
- 14.0 ppg and 8.3 rpg in last four games
- Shooting 68.8% (22-32) from the field last four games

Senior Ty Patterson
- Tied for team-high with 18 points on 5-10 shooting, 4-9 from 3-pt. range and 4-7 from the FT line
- Also added eight boards
- Averaging 20 ppg and 7.3 rpg in last four games
- 17-38 (44.7%) from 3-pt. range the last four games

Sophomore Ricky Taylor
- Scored 11 points on 3-10 shooting, 3-9 from 3-pt. range and 2-4 from the FT line
- Eight boards is one shy of a career-high


Sophomore Jasper Williams
- Tied a season-high with seven points, including a clutch 3-pt. FG with 58 seconds left
- Also had three assists off the bench
- Most points since scoring seven at Murray State on Dec. 19
