TEAM
- The Mocs drop Samford 48-14 to improve to 6-4 on the season and 5-2 in SoCon play...Samford falls to 4-6 on the year and 2-6 in SoCon action.
- With the win, UTC secures back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 1990 (6-5) and 1991 (7-4)...it also clinches a winning record in SoCon action since going 4-3 in 1991...UTC gets five SoCon wins for the first time since 1985.
- UTC put up 550 yards of total offense (231 rushing + 319 passing)...it is the fourth time this season the Mocs have topped 500 yards of total offense...that's the most 500-yard games since five in 2000.
- The Mocs came into the game ranked No. 5 in the nation in 3rd down conversions...UTC converted 10/16 (62.5%) third downs today, including five in the final 17-play, 71-yard scoring drive.
- The 34-point win was the biggest SoCon win for UTC since a 38-0 win over Western Carolina on Oct. 25, 2003, in Finley Stadium.
- The 34-point loss was the largest SoCon defeat for Samford who joined the league in 2008...The Mocs 48 points are the most Samford has allowed in SoCon play.
- The Mocs get four points in the Southern Rail Rivalry with Samford, putting them in the lead 7-5.
- Today's attendance of 9,207 extends UTC's school record for total and average attendance in 2010. The Mocs finish the year with a five-game attendance total of 63,494 for an average of 12,698 fans per game...No. 16 on the list of highest attended games at UTC...first game in 2010 not over 10,000.

Junior WR Joel Bradford
- Three catches for 98 yards and 1 TD.
- TD reception was 53 yards.
- School-record single-single season receiving yard total grows to 1,163.
- 10th highest single-season total in SoCon history.
- Leads the SoCon with 116.3 receiving yards per game.
Junior B.J. Coleman
- 12-20 for 319 yards and four TDs.
- 26.6 yards per completion...seven completions of 20+ yards...three 40+ yards.
- 2,786 passing yards in 2010 passes Cedric Stevens (2004) for No. 3 at UTC.
- 5,134 career passing yards passes Steve Woods (1978-81) for No. 5 at UTC.
- 26 passing TDs is one shy of the school season-record set by Chris Sanders in 1999.
- 41 career passing TDs passes Steve Woods (1978-81) for No. 3 at UTC.
- Ties for the fifth most passing TDs in SoCon history.
Senior FB Courtland Ellzey
- Three carries for 14 yards and his first career touchdown.
Senior DL Jaron Norfleet
- Got the start on senior day.
- Season-high five tackles.
- Two TFLs and one QBH.
Sophomore WR Brian Sutherland
- 5 catches for a career-high 167 yards and 3 TDs
- 65-yard TD reception in the third quarter is a career-long.
- Upped his SoCon leading all-purpose yard average to 160.6 yards per game.
Junior Jordan Tippit
- INT return 66 yards for a TD.
- First INT return for a TD since Raeshon Ball's 41 yard return at Western Carolina on Nov. 1, 2008.
- 4th longest INT return for a TD in school history.
- 8th career INT...ties for No. 8 all-time at UTC.
Freshman DB Kadeem Wise
- Season-high three PBUs
Senior RB Erroll Wynn
- 21 carries for 100 yards...4th career 100-yard, 2nd this season.
- Passes Tyrone Coleman (1995-98) for fifth place all time at UTC with 2,426 career yards.
- Now has 574 career carries...passes Robert Smith (1967-70) for No. 3 all-time at UTC.
