- Chattanooga drops a 60-54 decision at Samford Saturday afternoon...UTC is now 13-15 on the year and 5-10 in the SoCon North Division...the Bulldogs are now 11-16, 5-10 in the North.
- Today was the first of four games in eight days to close the regular season for Chattanooga...The Mocs return home to host Davidson for the home finale Monday at 7 p.m., before heading to Appalachian State (2/25) and Western Carolina (2/27) next weekend...The Western Carolina game will be on SportSouth at 3 p.m., as part of SoCon Saturday.
- Chattanooga holds a 45-34 series lead against Samford, winning 10 of the last 12 meetings...UTC is 13-22 in Birmingham...The Mocs won all three meetings in 2008-09, Samford's first season in the SoCon...The last Samford home win in the series was Feb. 21, 1974 (87-77)...Samford won the first contest this season 78-54 10 days ago (2/10) in Chattanooga...Josh Davis scored 30 in the win as the Bulldogs shot 61 percent from the field (75% in the second half) and 62.5 percent from three-point range.
- UTC is 623-371 as a DI program (33rd season)...The Mocs are 334-181 in SoCon games.
- The Mocs have started 12 different players at least once this season...There have been 12 different lineups as well...Today's lineup is 5-3 (Keegan Bell, Ricky Taylor, Ty Patterson, Sam Watson and Jeremy Saffore).
- Head Coach John Shulman re-instated junior forward Ridge McKeither and freshman guard Josh Odem from suspension today...The duo were out due to a violation of team rules...Chattanooga has lost 55 man games this season (injury, illness, suspension, etc.)...Odem had six points in 13 minutes, while McKeither battled foul trouble with two points and two steals in eight minutes.
- The Mocs are 3-12 when falling shy of 70 points...UTC is 8-4 when holding opponents under 70 points.
- Chattanooga is 9-2 when leading at the half...The Mocs led 28-24 at the break.
- The Mocs are 1-2 when tied with five minutes to play.
- Opponents have hit 10 or more three-pointers 11 times (3-8) this season.
- The Mocs are 8-5 when committing less than 15 turnovers...In the last seven games, Chattanooga has committed 86 turnovers, 12.3 per game...UTC was averaging 17.8 turnovers per contest with a -2.4 turnover margin and had an assist: turnover ratio of 0.83.

Freshman Sam Watson
- 6 points and game-high 11 rebounds...Also a season high for boards.
- Made his eighth start and played a season-high 27 minutes.
Junior Troy Cage
- Saw his first first-half action of the season as he continues to work his way back from stress fracture surgery in Dec.
- Played two minutes making his first shot as a Moc with an eight footer off a drive in the lane at 15:09 in the opening half.
Sophomore Keegan Bell
- 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.
- 14th game with 5 or more assists.
