On this win not feeling like a win:
"It wasn't. It didn't feel like it. The guys got in there...I kind of got on them. Offensively, we gave that away. We tried so hard to hand deliver that thing to them. It is ridiculous. That's a bad, bad performance, offensively. We can't play like that or we won't win another football game this year."
"Defensively, we played really well. I am proud of our defense. We got a lot of turnovers. We gave the offense the ball in their territory...I don't know how many times. But a the very end...I said 'smile, laugh, get on the bus and enjoy it.' They are hard to come by. I am going to enjoy this one too. I don't look like I am going to enjoy it, but I am going to enjoy it."
On the change in quarterback for WCU:
"That lefty (Brandon Pechloff) looked really good to me. He looked like he was a legit kid that can throw it. But other than that last drive, we played great defense."
On the play of freshman Gunner Miller:
"Gunner played well and Gunner practices well. That's why he plays well. He goes out there and he practices, he listens and it is important to him. J.D. Dothard was banged up with a broken toe...so he is sucking it up."
On what you can take away from a game with this many mistakes:
"Well, the one positive is...if you are a good football team and you have talent...you can survive those. That's the only thing I can take from it right now is that we must have a pretty decent team that we can survive that out there."

"There were some times in the game when our youth showed like when we were on our own goal line. I think it is going to help us win some games in the future. There are a lot of things we have to learn. But the bottom line is we found a way to walk out of here with a win. We evened things up at 2-2 and it goes in the book as a W. Doesn't matter how you win it...Just that you win it."

"I was trying to go out there and do my best for team. I learned I was going to start today and I was a little nervous when the kickoff started. After that I was ready to go. Coach (Adam) Fuller did a great job this week preparing for this game. He put us in the right spot every time."
