Mocs in 10th at Golfweek Conference Challenge

VAIL, Colo. --- The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's golf team opened the Golfweek Conference Challenge with a 15-over par round of 303 to stand in 10th-place at Red Sky Golf Club on its Fazio Course. The Mocs are one stroke ahead of Tennessee and four clear of Texas A&M.
Emma de Groot (Coffs Harbour, New South Wales, Australia) led UTC with a one-over par 73. She carded four birdies against five bogeys in the Mocs' second tournament of the season and is tied for 17th.
Fellow senior Christine Wolf (Igls, Austria) parred 15 of her first 16 holes with the lone blemish being a double bogey on the par four 11th hole, her second of the day. After a bogey at eight, Wolf closed with a birdie two on nine for her 74.
Maria Juliana Loza (Bucaramanga, Colombia) was two over through her first eight holes before making her turn at plus one with a birdie four on 18. She played holes one through nine at plus four to shoot 77 (+5).
Freshman Yushira Budhram (Johannesburg, South Africa) and Jordan Britt (Dayton, Tenn.) played with a stroke of each other. Budhram's 79 (+7) was one shot better than Britt's 80 to round out the team scores.
Chattanooga tees off at 10 a.m. (MDT), and is paired with Tennessee and Texas A&M. The Mocs will be led off the 10th tee by Britt who is followed by Budhram (10:09), Loza (10:18), Wolf (10:27) and de Groot (10:36).
