DAUFUSKIE ISLAND, S.C. --- The Chattanooga Mocs men's golf team is tied for seventh through 36 holes of the Rees Jones Invitational at Haig Point Golf Club. UTC shot 608 and is tied with Michigan State.

Iowa State holds the lead at 594 after rounds of 298 and 296. South Carolina is second at 598 with Wake Forest in third at 602.

The Mocs shot 306 in the opening 18 holes to tie for fifth with Wake Forest, Liberty and Michigan State. Stephan Jaeger paced that effort with a 74, followed Chris Robb (75), Benni Weilguni (78), Steven Fox (79) and Davis Bunn (79).

The afternoon was a little better with a 302. Robb and Fox posted 74s, while Jaeger (75) and Weilguni (79) rounded out the counting scores. Bunn's 80 was the drop score in the second round.

Iowa State's Nate McCoy is the individual leader at six-under par, 138. Lee Bedford (Wake Forest) and Dykes Harbin (South Carolina) are second, seven strokes off the pace at 145 (+1).

The tourney completes with a final 18 holes Tuesday. The Mocs are paired with the Spartans and USF.
