TEAM
- Chattanooga lost 87-85 in double overtime at College of Charleston...UTC is now 2-6 overall, 0-2 in the Southern Conference North Division...The Cougars are 7-1, 2-0 in the SoCon South.
- 27th meeting between the two teams...the Mocs are 11-16 all-time against CofC, 1-10 in Charleston.
- Head Coach John Shulman is 123-112 in his 8th season at Chattanooga...he is 5-9 against the Cougars, 0-5 on campus in Charleston.
- Mocs are 24-25 all-time in overtime games...last double overtime game was the 111-110 win at home over UNC Greensboro last season (1/27/11).
- Another game on this road trip with a family tie...Mocs reserve guard Ronrico White's brother, Tony Jr., was a star guard for the Cougars (2007-10).
- UTC limited CofC to just 21 first half points, fewest by a DI opponent this season...the 23.3% (7-30) shooting performance for the Cougars is a season low by an opponent for a half of basketball.
- Of the Cougars 30 first half attempts, 21 were threes. In contrast, Chattanooga took 32 shots with just 8 coming outside the arc...for the game, CofC shot 43 three-pointers, making 12 (27.9%), while only getting 25 shots inside the arc (made 14, 56%).
- 4th time the Mocs have held an opponent under 40 percent shooting in a game (38.2%).
- UTC had a 24-14 advantage on points in the paint tonight...Cougars had a 26-9 cushion on points off turnovers.
- Mocs had five double digit scorers for first time since Montreat in Dr Pepper Classic last season (12/29/10).

Senior Chris Early
- Team leader with 18 points shooting 7-13 from the field, 4-4 from 3pt range...eight rebounds and three assists as well.
- 4 3ptM ties a career high.
- 2nd double digit scoring game of season, 23rd career.
Senior Ricky Taylor
- 17 points on 5-12 FG, 3-5 3pt and 4-4 FT...scored 11 in the two OT periods.
- Now has 934 career points...12 points short of Benny Green (1988-89) is 20th with 946,
- 6th double digit scoring game of season, 51st career.
- Now 9th all-time in 3pt FGM with 125 passing former teammate Ty Patterson (2009-10)...John Oliver (1994-96) is 8th with 128.
- Moved into top 10 in career three-point attempts with 363...passed Benny Green (1988-89) for 10th on his second shot beyond the arc...John Oliver (1994-96) is ninth with 365.
Senior Keegan Bell
- Triple-double tonight with 12 points, 10 rebounds (career high) and 10 assists...played 47 minutes.
- 10 assists moves him into 3rd place all-time ahead of Casey Long (2004-07) with 392...22 shy of Tim Brooks (1992-93) and Wes Moore (1996-99) with 414.
- 11th all-time in 3pt FGM with 122...one behind Patterson and three behind Taylor.
- 43rd career 5+ assist games.
- 1st time with double-digit points and assists since Ray Trowell in 2004 against UNCG (1/5/04).
Junior Dontay Hampton
- 12 points tonight ties career high...scored seven points in a 75-second stretch of second half.
- 5-6 from the field, 2-2 from 3pt range.
Freshman Ronrico White
- Season-high 11 points shooting 3-4 FG, 2-2 3pt, 3-3 FT...combined with Hampton for 23 bench points which is one better than CofC as a team.
- Hit a three-pointer on last possession of first half to give Mocs a 26-21 halftime cushion.
