MACON, Ga. --- The Chattanooga Mocs are tied for 11th
with Georgia State with 18 holes remaining at the Brickyard Collegiate
Championship. Chattanooga shot 299 today and has a 36-hole total of 590 on the
Brickyard at Riverside.
Benni Weilguni (Langenlois, Austria) was low for the Mocs
with an even-par 72. He had three birdies, 12 pars and three bogeys on his card.
Weilguni opened with a bogey and got back to even with a
birdie on the par four fourth. A bogey on eight put him at plus one at the
turn. Back-to-back birdies on 11 and 12 got him to one under, but a bogey on 15
brought him back to level where he finished.
He is tied for 42nd at 149 for his 36 holes. That's four
behind Chris Robb (Aberdeenshire, Scotland). Robb has the Mocs low score of
145, +1, and is tied for 20th.
Michael Monroe (Franklin, Tenn.) shot three over (75)
today, which ties him with Weilguni at 149. Liam Johnston (Dumfries, Scotland)
and Davis Bunn (Knoxville, Tenn.) are two shots behind the duo at 151.
Chattanooga was one over through 14 holes after two
birdies on the par three 14th. The counting cards played at plus 10 over its
next four holes to drop from the top five down to its current tie for 11th.
Georgia remains in the lead shooting an even par 288. The
Bulldogs are eight under (568), nine shots clear of Virginia Tech at one over
after the Hokies two-under 286. Georgia Tech is third at three over (579).
Quinlan Prchal of Princeton fired his second straight 69
for a six-under par total of 138. He holds a one shot advantage over Jonathan
Grey (Georgia State) and T.J. Mitchell (Georgia State) at minus five.
Sunday's final 18 starts at 8:40 a.m. UTC is paired with
Augusta State and Georgia State leading off No. 10. The lineup is Bunn (8:40), Johnston
(8:50), Monroe (9:00), Weilguni (9:10) and Robb (9:20) with live scoring is
