MARRAKECH, Morocco --- Former Chattanooga Mocs women's
golf standout Christine Wolf (2008-11) is one step closer to full-time status
on the Ladies European Tour. Wolf shot four-under par 68 in her final round to
end up sixth in pre-qualifying field B.
Wolf posted cards of 70, 69, 73 and 68 for a total of
280. At eight under, she ended up eight shots off the pace set by Morocco's
Maha Haddioui. The top 45 from both pre-qualifying fields join 60 others vying
for 2013 tour cards.
Those 150 are slated for five rounds, 90 holes, of play
beginning Thursday, December 13, and ending Monday, December 17. Qualifying
remains at Al Maaden and Amelkis Golf Clubs in Marrakech. The top 30 and ties
earn full tour status.
Wolf's 68 today included five birdies and one bogey
including birdieing four of the last five holes after her bogey on the par five
13th. She tallied 16 birdies and 48 pars for the event shooting minus seven at
Al Maaden and one under at Amelkis.
The native of Igls, Austria owns school records for 18
(66), 36 (141) and 54-hole (209) totals. She won the 2012 Crete Ladies Open in
October on the LET Access Series.
