Coastal Carolina Tops ULM 61-48 in Game 2

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.---Coastal Carolina pulled away early and never looked back in a 61-48 Battle 4 Atlantis win over ULM in McKenzie Arena Wednesday afternoon. CCU improves to 4-1, while the Warhawks fall to 2-2.

Josh Cameron led the Chanticleers with a game-high 17 points off the bench. Shivaughn Wiggins added 11, while Warren Gillis chipped in 10 points and four assists.

Majok Deng posted a double-double to pace ULM's efforts. He had 14 points and a game-high 10 boards. Justin Roberson added 11 points and seven rebounds.

CCU led by eight at intermission and immediately built on that advantage to start the second 20. Wiggins gave his squad its largest lead of 18 on a layup at 10:54. The Warhawks got no closer than 13 the rest of the way.

Coastal took advantage of 11 ULM turnovers while giving it back just five times. It held a 17-5 advantage in points off turnovers and 27-11 in bench points.

The Battle 4 Atlantis mainland edition resumes tomorrow. The Mocs and Chanticleers meet in the championship game at 2:30 p.m. That follows Robert Morris and ULM in the consolation matchup at Noon.
