TEAM
- The Chattanooga Mocs posted their first-ever FCS Playoff win with a 35-14 win over No. 21 Indiana State … UTC improves to 10-3 overall, while the Sycamores end their season at 8-6.
- This is the first 10-win season in school history for the Mocs.
- UTC is on a seven-game winning streak for the first time since 1968.
- UTC ran the ball a season-high 63 times tonight … most attempts in the game since running 69 times in a 10-6 win over Western Carolina on Sept. 15, 1984.
- Chattanooga ran a season-high 87 total plays.
- Indiana State's 75-yard TD pass from Mike Perish to A.J. Johnson is the longest pass play allowed by UTC this season.
- ISU's Jordan Wallace picked up a fumbled KOR and ran 64 yards for a third quarter score … first KOR for a TD allowed by the Mocs since Sean Lees of Wofford on Nov. 10, 2007.
- UTC was just 4-8 in the red zone today … blocked FG, TO on downs and missed FG … came into the game No. 13 in the FCS in red zone offense (88.0%).
- Mocs dominated TOP – 42:57 to 17:03 … came into the game No. 6 in the FCS in TOP (32:33)
- ISU converted just 1/10 on third down … Mocs came into the game leading the SoCon and No. 19 in the FCS in third down defense (32.2%).
- The Mocs only allowed seven first downs … came into the game No. 4 in the FCS in first down defense (14.1).
- Chattanooga had a season-high 27 first downs in the game.
- The Mocs were flagged a season-high nine times for a season-high 86 yards.
- Mocs held ISU to 178 yards of total offense (151 pass, 27 rush) … fewest yards for ISU against an FCS opponent this season.
- UTC put 503 yards of total offense (262 rush, 241 pass) … fourth time this season with 500+ yards of total offense … first time since 2010 with four games over 500 yards.
- The Mocs have held five straight opponents to less than 20 points.
- UTC held Indiana State to 178 yards of total offense … first time as a Division I program (since 1977) the Mocs have done that five times in a season.
INDIVIDUAL
Jacob Huesman – Jr.-QB
- Career-high 31 carries for a season-high 153 yards ... now has 2,714 career rushing yards.
- Two rushing TDs … 28 in his career is tied for second all-time at UTC … 12 this season.
- 15-24 passing for 241 yards and one TD.
- 51 career passing TDs is second all-time at UTC … needs one more to tie B.J. Coleman (2009-11) for the school record of 52.
Sema'je Kendall – Jr.-DB
- Second INT of the season and his career.
Keon Williams – Sr.-RB
- 19 carries for 79 yards and a TD.
- 3-yard TD run in the first quarter was the 30th of his career … extending his school record.
- 14th of the season … second most in a year at UTC … school record is 18 by Gene Roberts (1946).
- 2,312 career rushing yards … passes Carey Henley (1958-61) and Robert Smith (1967-70) to move into eighth place all-time at UTC.
