- The Chattanooga Mocs dropped a 62-55 game to Georgia Southern in the quarterfinals of the Southern Conference Tournament in Asheville, N.C. tonight. UTC falls to 18-14 overall while the Eagles advance with a 16-18 mark.
- The Mocs 55 points is the third lowest total of the season.
- UTC had 14 turnovers that resulted in 15 points for Georgia Southern … The Mocs got six points on nine GSU turnovers.
- The Mocs led by nine – 38-29 with 14:20 left in the game – after a pair of Rico White FTs. Georgia Southern went on a 9-0 spurt over the next four minutes to tie the game at 38.
- This is the fourth consecutive year the Mocs lost in their first game at the SoCon Tournament.
