TEAM
- The No. 14 Chattanooga Mocs posted a 38-24 win over Samford at Finley Stadium tonight. The Mocs improve to 2-2 overall and 1-0 in SoCon action. The Bulldogs drop to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in league play.
- Chattanooga is 1-0 in the SoCon for the first time since 2007 … Mocs are now 13-25 in SoCon openers … 7-10 at home.
- UTC had a season-high 252 rushing yards in the game...most since running for 270 last year against Austin Peay.
- Mocs had 108 yards in the first quarter … three shy of what they had for the game against No. 9 Jacksonville State in the home opener on Sept. 6.
- Three INTs (Webb (2) and Kendall)…five on the season…UTC is +3 in TO ratio for the year.
- The Mocs were flagged for a season-high nine penalties and 70 yards…UTC came into the game No. 8 in the FCS in fewest penalties per game (4.33).
- Samford came into the game No. 6 in the nation in scoring, averaging 43.ppg…held to just 24 tonight.
- The Mocs outrushed Samford 252-137…Mocs are 27-3 when outrushing their opponent in the Russ Huesman era (since 2009).
- Mocs had another red zone stop in tonight's game, giving them six on the season … most since seven in 2010.
- Mocs improve to 6-10 as a ranked team in the Huesman era.

Tommy Hudson – Sr.-WR
- 66-yard PR for a TD.
- 14th longest punt return in school history.
- Longest by a Moc since Jordan Hazzard had an 88-yarder against Furman on Oct. 20, 2007.
- Second PR for a TD this season – 58-yd return at APSU on Sept. 13.
- First time a Moc has scored two TDs on PR in a season since UTC went DI in 1977.
Jacob Huesman – Jr.-QB
- 86 rushing yards on 16 carries.
- Tied a career-high with two rushing TDs…fourth time in his career.
- 18 career rushing TDs is tied for sixth all-time at UTC.
- 1,959 career rushing yards passes Muhammed Shamsid-Deen (1989-91) and Mike Hogan (1972-75) for ninth all-time at UTC.
- 52-yard run in the fourth quarter is the Mocs longest carry of the season…second longest in his career…fourth 50+ run of his career.
- 11-19 for 91 yards passing.
- 3,855 career passing yards…passes Antonio Miller (2004-07) for eighth all-time at UTC.
