Furman at No. 6 Chattanooga

TEAM
- The Chattanooga Mocs won their fourth in a row with an impressive 31-3 victory over Furman … UTC snapped a three-game winning streak for the Paladins … Chattanooga improved to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in SoCon play … Furman drops to 3-3 and 1-1 in league games.

- Mocs allowed 69 yards and a FG on Furman's opening drive … 75 yards the rest of the half.

- UTC has allowed a total of 99 yards and no points in the second half of the last two games.   

- UTC had its first red-zone stop of the season just before halftime … added another with an INT in the endzone in the second half.

- The Mocs converted a fourth down for the first time this season (twice in the game) … UTC was 0/5 on fourth down coming into the game in 2015.

- The Mocs came into the game No. 7 in the FCS in time of possession.  Furman held the ball for 17:41 of the first 30 minutes today … UTC had it for 19:30 in the second to hold a 31:49 to 28:11 advantage by the end of the game.

- UTC is 3-0 in 2015 and 33-7 under head coach Russ Huesman when leading at the half.

- Chattanooga came into the game No. 11 in the FCS in 3rd down defense, but allowed 8/17 today. 

- Furman had more first downs 18-17 in the game.

- The Mocs are 5-2 against Furman under head coach Russ Huesman (since 2009). 

- This is the fourth-straight win in the series for Chattanooga … longest streak over Furman since winning five in a row between 1928 and 1968. 

- UTC had interceptions by Lucas Webb and Sema'je Kendall … first two picks by DBs for the Mocs this season.

- Lucas Webb's pick-6 was the third defensive score for Chattanooga this season … 16th under Huesman and 13th in the last four seasons. 

- The Mocs had 245 rushing yards on 48 attempts … fourth game in a row with at least that many rushing yards.

- Final scoring drive of the game was 94 yards on 12 plays that took 7:47 … tied for the second-longest drive in terms of yards under Huesman.     

INDIVIDUAL
Toyvian Brand – Sr.-DL
- Recorded third sack of the season.
- Had two hurries.

Derrick Craine – Jr.-RB
- Game-high 138 yards rushing on 21 carries.
- Tied a career-high with three rushing TDs … six this season and 12 in his career.
- Second career multi-TD game.
- Averaged 6.6 yards per carry.

Keionta Davis – Jr.-DL
- 2.0 TFLs, including a sack.
- Leads the SoCon with 11.0 TFLs and 7.0 sacks.
- Added a PBU.

Jacob Huesman – Sr.-QB
- 9-15 passing for 104 yards.
- 68 rushing yards on 17 carries.
- 10,074 yards of total offense is the UTC record ... one of only three in SoCon history (49th in the FCS) with more than 10,000 yards ... second among active players in the FCS in total offense. 
- 27-12 record as a starter at QB ... most wins by a starting QB in school history.

Sema'je Kendall – Sr.-DB
- Picked off a third quarter pass in the endzone.
- Third career INT … first this season.

Henrique Ribeiro – Jr.-K/P
- Both punts were over 50 yards and downed inside the Furman 20.
- Averaged 55 yards per punt.
- 4-4 on PATs … 62 consecutive PATs extends his school record … passed Jason Vitaris (ASU – 2008-09) for eighth longest streak in SoCon history.
- Made his only FG attempt from 36 yards … 4-6 on the year.

James Stovall – So.-WR
- Career-highs with three catches for 42 yards.
- Also had a career-long 20-yard catch.

Lucas Webb – So.-DB
- 35-yard pick-6 in the second quarter.
- Seventh career INT … second pick-6.
- Third defensive score for the Mocs this season.
