TEAM
- The Mocs scored a 74-61 win over Mercer tonight … the win moves the Mocs to 19-9 overall and in second place in the SoCon race at 12-3 … Mercer drops to 15-13 overall and two games behind UTC in third place in the league race at 10-5 … Wofford stays a game ahead of Chattanooga (22-6, 13-2 SoCon) with their 77-62 home win over UNCG tonight. 

- UTC has won 11 of the last 13, 14 of 17 and 17 of its past 21 contests.           

- The Mocs are 14-2 at home this season … 26-4 in McKenzie Arena in two seasons under head coach Will Wade … best home record in first two seasons for a head coach at UTC since Mack McCarthy went 27-6 in 1985 and 1986 … UTC is 14-2 at home in SoCon games in two years under Wade.   

- UTC is 24-7 in SoCon games in two seasons under head coach Will Wade … best start to a league career at UTC since Mack McCarthy went 26-6 in his first two years with the Mocs (12-4 in 1985 and 14-2 in 1986).

- UTC's 19 wins is one better than last season.    

- The Mocs split the season series with Mercer … UTC snaps a four-game slide against the Bears … Mocs still trail the all-time series 29-34 … there was a 20-year hiatus in the matchups between 1991 and 2011 … Bears had won the previous three meetings since 2011. 

- Up five (65-60) with 1:44 left after Mercer's Jibri Bryan hit a three, the Mocs went 9-10 from the FT line the rest of the way. 

- Mercer started off hot, making 7-12 shots and 4-4 from behind the arc to build a 20-9 lead in the first seven minutes of play … the Bears went 15-44 (34.1%) and 1-12 (8.3%) from long range the rest of the game. 

- Mercer had 13 second-chance points on seven offensive boards in the first half … UTC nearly eliminated those opportunities in the second half, allowing just two second-chance points on four offensive boards.

- Mercer came into the game leading the SoCon in rebound margin (2.4), but UTC controlled the boards tonight (38-27) … 22-9 difference on the glass in the second half … fourth game in a row the Mocs have outrebounded their opponent.

- UTC was hot in the second half … 12-21 from the floor (57.1%), 5-10 from 3-pt. range (50%) and 10-12 from the FT line (83.3%). 

- Chattanooga's bench, led by Ronrico White (17) and Eric Robertson (11) outscored Mercer 31-7. 

- UTC had a season-high 19 assists on 23 baskets.

- For the game, the Mocs shot 23-43 (53.5%) from the field .. second-straight game over 50% from the field … seventh time this season … ties for the highest FG% allowed by Mercer this season.

- The Mocs have at least one win over every team in the SoCon this season.

INDIVIDUAL
Duke Ethridge – Jr.-F

- Seven points, six boards and five blocks in 27 minutes.
- Career-high for blocks.
- Two assists tied a career-high.
- Averaged 24 minutes last four games … 12 for the season.

Tre'McLean – So.-G
- Tied a career-high with four assists. 

Greg Pryor – So.-G
- 16 points on 3-6 shooting, 2-4 from 3-pt. range and 8-8 from the FT line.
- Most FTs without a miss by a Moc this season.
- Seven assists tied the most by a Moc this season.
- Game-high seven rebounds.

Eric Robertson – Jr.-G
- 11 points on 2-6 shooting from long-range … 5-5 from the FT line.
- Double-figures in three of last five outings. 

Justin Tuoyo – So.-F
- 14 points on 6-8 shooting, 2-6 from the FT line.
- Added six boards and three blocks.

Ronrico White – Sr.-G
- Game-high 17 points in 34 minutes off the bench.
- Shot 5-11 from the field, 4-8 from 3-pt. range and 3-4 from the FT line.
- Added four assists and three boards.
- Fourth time this season he has led the team in scoring.
