MOCS MEN'S BASKETBALL NOTEBOOK
Game No. 31 | Chattanooga at UNCG | Greensboro Coliseum | Feb. 28, 2015

FOR STARTERS
- Chattanooga is 22-9, 15-3 in the Southern Conference…UNCG is 10-21, 6-12 in league play.
- The Mocs are 7-2 on the road in the SoCon…the Spartans are 3-6 in home conference games.
- UTC has won six in a row and 13 of 15, 16 of 19 and 19 of last 23…loss snaps two-game UNCG win streak.

HEAD COACH WILL WADE
- Will Wade is 40-24 in his second season in the Scenic City…4th Moc coach (Mack McCarthy 42, Ron Shumate 40, Jeff Lebo 40) to win 40 games in first two seasons of their tenure.
- Wade is 27-7 in SoCon contests…11-5 in league road games…27 conference wins is the most by a Mocs coach in their first two seasons on the bench.
- Wade is 3-1 against UNCG…1-1 in Greensboro.

THE SERIES
- Chattanooga is 21-16 against UNCG…9-8 on the road in the series.
- The Mocs hold a 17-13 advantage in regular season SoCon matchups.
- UTC snaps three-game losing skid in Greensboro…last won in the Greensboro Coliseum on January 8, 2011…first series sweep since 2011…won three of last four.

WINNING NOTES
- 22 wins is the 3rd-most in the regular season in school history…most since 23 in 1992-93.
- 22 wins overall is the most since 1996-97's NCAA Sweet 16 team won 24.
- 15 league wins is the most since 1993 (16-2)…4th time in school history we've won four or more.

STREAKING
- The Mocs have won six…second streak of five or more this season…winners in eight of the last nine.
- Third time in Wade's two seasons the squad has won five or more in a row...UTC had three five-game win streaks in the previous nine campaigns prior to Wade's arrival…last year's squad won 10 straight.
- Last time the school had two streaks of five or more wins in the same season was 1996-97…runs of 11 and seven straight wins after the turn of the year…that squad won 19 of its last 23 games en route to an NCAA Sweet 16 appearance…this Mocs outfit has won 19 of its last 23 heading into SoCon Championship.

- The Mocs came back from a 12-point deficit…UNCG led by 12, 41-29, with 15:13 to play…Chattanooga out-scored its hosts 19-5 over the next 6:44 to take the lead, 48-46, on two Casey Jones free throws with 8:29 to play.
