The Chattanooga Mocs softball team hosts Georgia State Wednesday, April 13 at 5:00 p.m. (E.D.T.) in Frost Stadium. UTC improved to 22-20 and 4-5 in Southern Conference play after winning its series against Western Carolina 2-1.

Despite dropping the first game of the series on Saturday to the Catamounts, Chattanooga bounced back to sweep on Sunday, winning 4-3 and 12-2.
The Mocs hit four home runs during the doubleheader, featuring two from senior
Sam Taylor and one by senior
Amanda Ross and sophomore
Ashley Conner.
In the final game against Western Carolina, Taylor led the squad with three runs, two RBI and four hits on as many at bats. She boasts a team-best 36 runs, 49 hits and 12 doubles on the season.
UTC and the Panthers are tied 8-8 in the all-time series. Georgia State won 4-2 on Mach 17, 2015 in Atlanta, Ga. UTC's last win was 4-1 on March 31, 2011 in Frost Stadium.
Coming off three losses to No. 5 UL Lafayette, the Panthers are 19-22 and 4-8 in the Sun Belt Conference. Georgia State hosts Alabama State Tuesday before heading to Chattanooga.
The Panthers have faced two SoCon opponents, Western Carolina and Furman. Georiga State swept the Catamounts 2-0 on March 16, winning 11-4 and 10-5. On March 30, the Panthers split with the Paladins, recording a 10-4 loss and 4-0 win.
Chattanooga beat Furman in the opening league series 2-1, winning 5-2 and 5-4 and falling 5-6 on March 25-26.
