NOTES | LIVE SCORING
CHATTANOOGA---The regular season is winding down with one event left for the Chattanooga Mocs women's golf team. Its final tune-up for the postseason comes Monday and Tuesday at the Web.com Intercollegiate.
The 54-hole, two day event is played at Marsh Landing Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. The Mocs (60) are one of eight teams ranked in the latest Golfstat Top 100 with No. 26 Missouri headlining the field.
Chattanooga has finished in the top five of nine straight events with two wins and four runners-up. The next par or better team 18 will be the ninth of the season, which is the total the program had in its prior eight campaigns.
That's led to two season scoring record chases. The team's 296.21 stroke average is more than five strokes better than last year's school record (301.43). Emily McLennan's 72.97 is almost a shot clear of Emma de Groot's mark of 73.81 in 2009-10.
McLennan leads a lineup that includes Cris Perez (74.69), Megan Woods (75.10), Isabella Loza (75.67) and Monica San Juan (76.45). While McLennan's average currently leads in the school's annals, Perez (6th), Woods (11th) and Loza (T12th) are also in the top 12.
