Mocs End Up 7th at Regular Season Finale in Jacksonville

Emily McLennan posted her ninth top 15 in 11 events finishing 11th leading the Chattanooga Mocs in the Web.com Intercollegiate.

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla.---The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf team finished seventh in the Web.com Intercollegiate. The ladies shot a final round 315 for a 54-hole total of 896. That's 10 strokes behind 26th-ranked Missouri in sixth and four clear of the eight-place tandem of Cincinnati and College of Charleston.
Megan Woods led the Mocs with a 77 in the final round. Cris Perez shot 77, while Emily McLennan turned in 79. Monica San Juan rounded out the counting scores with an 81. Scores for the field were more than two-a-half strokes higher per round today than in Monday's opening 18.
McLennan's 11th-place finish paced UTC for the event. She shot 3-over par 219 ending up in the top 15 for the ninth time in 11 events on the season.
Woods turned in an 8-over 224, while San Juan was one behind her at 225. Perez came in with a 230, as Isabella Loza completed the two-day tourney at 235.
Middle Tennessee (+9) was a one shot winner over Campbell (+10). North Florida came in third at +17. The Fighting Camels' Nadine White was the medalist with a 4-under 212 ending up two ahead of Mizzou's Emma Allen.
UTC sets its sights on next week's Southern Conference Championships. It has won five of the last six and finished first or second seven consecutive years. Live scoring links are available on GoMocs.com's women's golf schedule page.
