CHATTANOOGA---Chattanooga Mocs women's golf alum Christine Wolf '11 is back home in Austria after an exciting trip to Rio de Janeiro for the Olympic Games. While the Ladies European Tour pro turns her focus back to individual play, she certainly enjoyed the experience of being back on a team and representing Austria in the process.

"It was a great honor to represent Austria in the Olympics," Wolf noted. "Especially since we usually play for ourselves. I always loved playing in European Team Championships (as an amateur), since it was the only time we got to represent our country.

"Now being part of the Olympic team brought that honor and feeling of being a part of a team back."

She carded a 2-under par 69 in round two for her best score of the tournament. Wolf certainly enjoyed the golfing experience competing with the best in the world, but she also took the opportunity to take in some history as well as brush shoulders with the world's best performers in a variety of sports.

"One of the most memorable moments was when I got to watch Michael Phelps win his 21st Gold Medal," she continued. "I had always seen him on TV, but this time, I was there in person to see him dominate. Another situation was when (Novak) Djokovic walked past us, when Clemens (Dvorak her caddy) and I were playing some tennis, and he commented on our game."

But that's in the past now. The memories are special to be certain, but it's time to her attention back to LET life.

"I am really excited to get back on tour and focus on the rest of my season," Wolf continued. "So far it was a bit different out there, since we always had the Olympics in mind. Now it is time to refocus and get my card for next year."

She's looking toward moving up the rankings and securing her LET card again, but she hasn't lost interest in coming back to the States where she starred for four years as a Moc.

"I will be playing LPGA tour school this year, so I will definitely have my focus on that as well."

If there's one thing we learned from her experience in Chattanooga, Wolf's focus is razor-sharp.
