Mocs 13th with 18 Holes Remaining at Carpet Capital Collegiate

Andrew Weathers’ 1-over par 73 led the Chattanooga Mocs on day 2 of the Carpet Capital Collegiate.

ROCKY FACE, Ga.---The Chattanooga Mocs men's golf team matched its opening round 299 in today's Carpet Capital Collegiate second round. The squad remains in 13th, two strokes clear of North Florida.
 
Andrew Weathers shot 1-over par 73 for the team's low round. Wes Gosselin and Lake Johnson had 74s (+2), while Brooks Thomas shot 78. Etienne Brault's 82 was the drop score with Phillip Hickam turning in 81 as an individual.
 
Gosselin leads the Mocs with a 3-over 147 through 36 holes. Weathers and Johnson are at +4 followed by Thomas' +11. Brault, +16, and Hickam, +17, round out the ledger.
 
Auburn's Ryan Benton and Georgia Tech's Luke Schniederjans, playing as an individual, are tied for the lead at -9. The duo is one shot ahead of LSU's Sam Burns. Virginia (553) holds a three-shot lead over Auburn (556) with Clemson (565) a distant third.
