UTC's first action under new head coach Chad Camper is this weekend in Spartanburg, S.C.
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team begins fall play this weekend at the USC Upstate Fall Invite in Spartanburg, S.C. The Mocs are sending five representatives to the three-day tournament.
This is the first event for UTC under new head coach Chad Camper. He joined the team in August, taking over for Jeff Clark who resigned earlier in the summer.
"We are excited for our first tournament of the fall season," stated Camper. "I have been impressed with the team's performance and development, and I expect us to compete and do well. More importantly, this first tournament stands as a measuring stick to show us where we need improvement."
Senior Rachele Gazzola and sophomores Carolina Hall, Delaney Edwards and Sydney Patton are competing in singles. Edwards/Patton make up one doubles tandem and Hall/Patton is the other. Sophomore Mckenzie Barco is playing doubles with an outside partner.
UTC will be competing with the host Spartans, Armstrong State, Wofford, Campbell, Presbyterian, Furman, Gardner-Webb and Queens. Full draws are attached to this story. Be sure to check back to GoMocs.com each day for a full recap and updated draws.
