SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.---The Chattanooga Mocs men's golf team shot 294 (+10) in today's second round of the Maui Jim Intercollegiate at Mirabel Golf Club. Their 12-over total of 580 puts the squad tied for 14th with UAB, ahead of Hawaii by 19 shots in 16th. The duo is one behind Notre Dame in 13th.

Brooks Thomas is 3 under for the tournament after a 69 that included seven birdies. His 139 total is the lowest 36-hole score of his collegiate career. He's tied for 18th overall.

Lake Johnson with twin 74s, as
Wes Gosselin added a 77.
Will Porter's 79 was the drop score with
Stuart Thomas carding 75 playing as an individual.

LSU surged into the lead with 271 today. Its 541 total is two ahead of Kent State (543) and four clear of Baylor (545) in third. The Tigers' Luis Gagne is atop the player leaderboard at 12 under, two ahead of Chattanooga native Scott Stevens of South Carolina at -10.
