CHATTANOOGA vs. THE CITADEL
The Mocs lead the series 9-5-1 including a rescheduled neutral-site match last season due to flooding in Charleston. UTC went unbeaten with seven wins in the first eight meetings. The Bulldogs took the next three before the Mocs recorded a win in 2012 on the road. The Citadel grabbed the next two victories before UTC won last season.
CHATTANOOGA (3-7-1, 1-1 SoCon) | Head Coach Gavin McKinney, second season
The Mocs posted a 2-1 win on the road against Wofford in their last outing to improve to 3-7-1 overall and 1-1 in SoCon play. Chattanooga, with 17 goals, is averaging 1.55 per game and has 72 shots on goal in 135 shot attempts (.533) and average 12.3 shots per game.
Peyton McCollum leads the team in scoring with 11 points, goals scored with four and a team-best three assists.
Ellie Myrick matches her for goals scored with four and has two assists for 10 points. Junior
McKenzie Gregg has a team-high tying three assists with one goal for five points and is third on the team in scoring.
Jordan Mueller scored the Mocs' first goal against the Terriers for her second of the year and freshman keeper
Melia Correa earned her first victory in the win. She has a .740 saves percentage and a 1.58 goals against average.
THE CITADEL (3-6, 0-2 SoCon) | Head Coach Ciaran Traquair, first season
The Bulldogs are 3-6 overall and 0-2 in league play with losses to ETSU and Western Carolina at home last weekend in the league opener. The Citadel has just eight goals on the year with three tallying two each. Mady Riegel has a team-best five points on two goals and one assist while Samara Nche and Katherine Arroyo have two apiece.
Logan Leask and Abby Koger have shared time in goal. Leask has clocked 640:27 in eight matches with a 1.41 goals against average and a .808 saves percentage. She has all three wins for the Bulldogs, all by shutout, and four losses.
