CHATTANOOGA --- The Chattanooga Mocs volleyball team dropped a tough 3-1 (25-17, 25-23, 22-25, 25-22) match to Wofford in the regular season finale inside Maclellan Gym on Friday night.

Chattanooga concludes the regular season with 13-17 overall record and a 6-10 mark in Southern Conference play. Wofford improved to 19-10, 9-6 in conference action with one match remaining in their season.

The Mocs were out-blocked 13.0 to 5.0 for the match and were also out-hit .261 to .160 for the four sets. Wofford totaled 55 kills to Chattanooga's 44 on the help of Catie Cronister's match-high 24 kills.

Ally Ford led the Mocs with 13 kills on a .146 percentage while
Mikaela Gauthreaux followed with 11 kills at a .320 clip.
Lauren Greenspoon dished out a team-best 29 assists and
Madison Bergren chipped in with 11.

Megan Kaufman anchored the Chattanooga defense with a match-high 23 digs while Bergren added nine to follow Kaufman.
Emily Plumlee led the Mocs with 5.0 total blocks.

Chattanooga returns to the court next weekend for the Southern Conference Tournament (Nov. 17-19) in Cullowhee, N.C., on the campus of Western Carolina. With a couple matches left to shake out across the conference, the Mocs look to have the number six seed locked up. More tournament information can be found on the schedule page.

Wofford 3, Chattanooga 1
1st Set | WOF 25, UTC 17
Wofford took a slight one-point advantage at 6-5 before rolling on a 9-2 run to extend out to a 15-7 lead. Both teams traded the next 12 points to give Wofford a 21-13 lead before the Terriers finished off the set 25-17.

2nd Set | WOF 25, UTC 23
Wofford and UTC went back-and-forth to begin the set by tying at 5-5, 6-6 and 7-7 before Wofford forced Chattanooga into a timeout after a 5-1 run gave them a 12-8 edge. The Mocs battled back to tie the set up at 17-17 ahead of Wofford scoring four of the next six to build a 21-19 lead. UTC scored three-straight to regain the lead at 22-21, but the Terriers took four of the final five points to win the set 25-23 and upped their lead in the match to 2-0.

3rd Set | UTC 25, WOF 22
The Terriers jumped out to a 4-1 lead before Chattanooga fought back to take the lead at 9-8. UTC would build on that lead at 14-11 and later extended it to five points at 20-15. Wofford scraped back to cut their deficit to two at 24-22, but an
Emily Plumlee kill clinched the set for UTC 25-22 and forced a fourth set.

4th Set | WOF 25, UTC 22
Wofford built an 8-3 advantage to begin the fourth set ahead of Chattanooga rallying to cut the deficit to two points at 11-9. The Mocs would pull within one at 18-17 before Wofford rallied for four-straight to build a sizeable lead down the stretch at 22-17. The Terriers would end up capturing the set 25-22 and the match 3-1 on a kill from Catie Cronister.
