CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- Senior Aryanna Gilbert led Chattanooga to an overtime win against UT Martin Saturday afternoon at the McKenzie Arena and was named the College Sports Madness Southern Conference Player of the Week.
 
Gilbert scored a season-high 25 points against the Skyhawks, missing her career-best by just one point. She shot 72.7 percent (8-of-11) from the field and was 2-of-4 from the 3-point line. She made all seven attempts from the free throw line and has made 17 straight this season, all coming in the last three games.
 
Gilbert played all 45 minutes, a career-high for the redshirt senior, and led the Mocs with eight rebounds. She had five assists in the game with just one turnover.
 
She is second for the Mocs in scoring with 13.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game on the year. She is shooting 48.4 percent from the floor, is 14-of-31 from the 3-point line and has a team-high 27 assists.
 
The Mocs will host Virginia Tech Sunday, December 10 in the second game of a double header with the men's team who will host UNC Charlotte at 1:00 p.m. at the Roundhouse.
