AIKEN, S.C.---Senior
Wes Gosselin led the Chattanooga Mocs tying for 16th at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate. His four-over par 214 pace the 10th-place Mocs who shot 875 for the 54 holes at Palmetto Golf Club.

The shotgun start proved difficult for the quintet starting on holes seven through nine. A slow start turned rough when the weather started getting rough. The average score Monday was 73.79 over the first 18 and 72.70 during the second for the 18 squads. That increased nearly three strokes today to 75.46.

Gosselin and
Brooks Thomas each turned in 75s.
Lake Johnson and
Phillip Hickam rounded out the team score of 305 with 77 and 78, respectively.

Gosselin's tie for 16th was followed by Johnson tying for 36th at 220.
Stuart Thomas was next with 222, three clear of Hickam and B. Thomas at 225.

No. 16 Clemson (835) came back from a three-shot deficit to top No. 3 Virginia (836). South Carolina (845) was third. The Cavaliers' Derek Bard claimed medalist honors shooting 6-under 204.
