CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs men's golf team completed the Old Waverly Collegiate in eighth-place Tuesday shooting 577 over 36 holes. The squad turned in an even-par 288 over the final 18 finishing four behind Mississippi State and Cincinnati tied for sixth and two clear of Kansas State in ninth.

Brooks Thomas,
Wes Gosselin and
Stuart Thomas each carded 1-under 71s with
Etienne Brault completing the team score at 75.
Andrew Weathers had the drop tally of 77.

B. Thomas paced the effort tying for 11th at 3-under 141. That was five better than Gosselin at 146. Brault and Weathers turned in 148, while S. Thomas finished at 151.

South Florida won the event at 16-under 560 after storms limited the field to 36 holes from a planned 54 over the two-day period. Lipscomb was second, six shots off the pace. The Bisons' Dawson Armstrong and Kennesaw State's Chris Guglielmo tied for medalist at 7 under.

The Chattanooga Mocs golf program has won six Southern Conference Championships (1987, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2013) since joining the league in 1977-78. The Mocs have twice been ranked No. 1 in the nation during the falls of 2008 and 2009. It boasts:
