SCORING | PAIRINGS | STATS/NOTES
CHATTANOOGA---It's back to the tee for the Chattanooga Mocs women's golf team as the ladies head to South Carolina for the Lady Paladin Invitational. The three-day, 54-hole event is played at the Furman Golf Club in Greenville.
The Mocs opened the season last weekend at Vanderbilt's Mason Rudolph Championships. The 12th-place finish hides a solid start on the links with rounds of 292, 293 and 297 for an 882 total against a top-flight field.
The squad looks to dust off a little history as they head into their second start. This is the third entry for UTC in the Lady Paladin Invitational. The team won the previous two capturing the team title in 2010 and sweeping team and individual triumphs in 2012.
Chattanooga's 896 was five shots better than host Furman during the last visit. Marion Duvernay was medalist with a 3-over 219 as Chattanooga native Jordan Britt tied for second at 221. That was preceded by a runaway 14-stroke victory over Georgia State in 2010.
Here's a look at the lineup along with a few extra tidbits for the weekend.
