CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs are 10th after 36 holes at the Shoal Creek Invitational. The squad shot 1-over 289 over the first 18 today before posting 297 in the afternoon.
The trio of
Lake Johnson,
Etienne Brault and
Will Porter led the early effort carding even-par 72s.
Luke Long added a 73 to the team total with
Phillip Hickam's 75 serving as the drop score.
Long and Hickam had the low afternoon tallies with 1-over 73s. Johnson added 75 with Porter rounding out the counters with a 76. Brault's 78 was dropped.
Long's 2-over 146 is one ahead of Johnson and two clear of Hickam and Porter. Freshman
Connor Nolan is also at 148 playing as an individual turning in 78 before a team-best 70 in the afternoon. Brault sits at 150.
The Mocs trail Memphis in ninth by four. They're six clear of Troy in 11th, and 14 ahead of South Alabama in 12th.
Wake Forest owns the lead at 567 with Notre Dame in second at 571. UAB's William Walker III is in front individually at 9-under 135.
